In May 2026, Senedd elections will go a long way to deciding how Wales is governed and how the country’s public services are managed for the remainder of the 2020s. The People’s Library isn’t a politically-motivated organization and we’re not affiliated with any political party. We don’t believe in telling people who to vote for; we believe in sharing facts that enable informed decision-making. Starting now, we’re going to share information on where Wales’s leading political parties stand on key issues, what they propose to do and how they propose to do it. We’ll share information on this website and in our monthly newsletters.

This is your country. You have a choice in how it’s governed. You can listen to the lazy, self-serving arguments that all politicians are the same, or that it’s “time for a change”, without thinking about what needs to be changed and why, and what some people want to change it to. Or you can engage with the facts. Your country, your choice.
